Karelyn walking short distances

New task- 50 miles in August- previously;
As this is our 50th year we are going to mark it by getting out and about in this beautiful part of the country. With the odd foray into other areas to meet up with friends. We don't have a target distance or route, but will be posting where and when we intend to go and hope that you will join us for some of these walks. Families, friends and dogs welcome. April 2011 will see the start of the walks, make sure we have your email address to keep you informed. We will be using the AA walks mostly, with lunches or evening meals on some of the routes, others may include bus or train rides to return to our cars, none will be very long between 3-8 miles perhaps.

All will be weather permitting, the aim is for a pleasant time not a test of endurance.

Well, that was nice.

The scattered showers that were predicted, held off not just for the royals. We had a lovely walk and enjoyed fish and chips at the quay, Honey and Rex helping make sure there was no wastage. Honey even felt that a swim was in order afterwards but had a little trouble locating the entrance to the creek so that she could exit the same way. Rex was far more restrained, limiting himself to a good scratchy roll in the cow's field.
Thank you to the 7 friends and family who joined us and the 2 unshaven junior males in the family, both of which had to have a snooze on their return, lightweight's!

Perhaps DD will care to join us next time, when she sees the ice cream/hot chocolate treat we had afterwards.

Next walk to be selected by Mick, watch this space.
