Karelyn walking short distances

New task- 50 miles in August- previously;
As this is our 50th year we are going to mark it by getting out and about in this beautiful part of the country. With the odd foray into other areas to meet up with friends. We don't have a target distance or route, but will be posting where and when we intend to go and hope that you will join us for some of these walks. Families, friends and dogs welcome. April 2011 will see the start of the walks, make sure we have your email address to keep you informed. We will be using the AA walks mostly, with lunches or evening meals on some of the routes, others may include bus or train rides to return to our cars, none will be very long between 3-8 miles perhaps.

All will be weather permitting, the aim is for a pleasant time not a test of endurance.

Long time no walk. Well that's about to change as I (Mick) have chosen a local walk to burn off a few of those Christmas calories.  We shall be walking the 'Victorian Estate Village Walk', otherwise known as Somerleyton, on Tuesday 27th December. We will be meeting at the Somerleyton Post Office at 10.30am ready to go 'as soon as'. It's a 6.25 mile ramble mostly on tracks, but a few roads as well. It is dog friendly and has two stiles to cross. The walk should take around 2.5 hours, with a pub at the end, which we haven't explored the cost of  lunches. There are toilet facilities also, however these are near to the end of the walk. We do not know if these are open at this time of year though. Hope to see as many walkers as possible.

  1. I enjoyed having a look around your blog.

    Thanks for the comment left on my blog as part of the The Scrapbook Kitchen NSD blog hop. It is much appreciated and I will be drawing the winner later today along with a pic of what the winner has won.

    If you were looking for the follow me button (it seemed to have disappeared) I have re-added it so those that want to can keep up with what I am up to. I'm not a post every day person, but I do post regularly.

    Thanks again for visiting my blog xxx
